Prerequisites

To use Retriqs, you need:

  • the Retriqs desktop app installed
  • at least one provider configured
  • a storage created inside the app
  • documents you want to index

What Retriqs is for

Retriqs is designed for teams and users who want to:

  • organize their own documents into a searchable workspace
  • explore relationships between entities in a knowledge graph
  • run AI-powered retrieval on private or local content
  • configure a model provider without setting up the whole stack manually

How Retriqs works

At a high level, Retriqs follows this flow:

  1. You create a storage.
  2. You configure the model and embedding provider for that storage.
  3. You upload documents.
  4. Retriqs indexes the content.
  5. You search, retrieve, and explore the results.

First-time setup flow

If this is your first time using Retriqs, the recommended path is:

  1. Install the app
  2. Launch Retriqs
  3. Create a storage
  4. Configure your provider settings
  5. Upload documents
  6. Wait for indexing to complete
  7. Start querying your data
